In attendance: David Stevens and John Alexander, Selectmen, Greg Gallagher, Town Clerk, Amy Robinson, Selectboard Assistant, Andrew Berley, Julie Mountain and Gerald Saindon.

Julie Mountain asked the Board if the Town would plow Old Cottage Lane past the current turn around to her and Al Brissard’s house. They have moved in year around now. She said there is room to turn around by Guitar’s house or by Bev and Bob Cummings’s. John replied that the Class 3 classification of Old Cottage Lane ends at the current turn around and that the Town is not responsible to plow Class 4 roads. Ms. Mountain said she did not receive any notification of the decision to reclassify Old Cottage LN to Class 3.

David said he would inspect the road with the Road Foreman, Dennis Desmarais.

Andrew Berley discussed his efforts to get answers to questions about speed and costs of Great Auk Wireless. He suggested the Board write to Fairpoint to inform them that Westmore is open to their services.

The Board decided to wait until Nancy returns from vacation to address that issue.

David moved and John seconded to approve Select Orders and Payroll #1. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded to approve the Minutes of the 12/27/07 meeting. Motion passed.

The Minutes of the 12/10/07 meeting were tabled until Nancy returns.

Anne Alexander, Planning and Zoning, announced that the attorney with Zuccaro that has been representing the Town on the Fennof case has left the firm and the firm can no longer handle the case. She said the attorney handling the Zoning bylaw revisions could represent Westmore.

David moved and John seconded to authorize the Planning and Zoning Commission to hire Stizel, Page & Fletcher, PC to represent the Town on the Fenoff zoning appeal. Motion passed.

Gerald reported that there were serious structural problems with the Municipal office roof. He asked for authorization to hire a building inspector to recommend a solution.

John moved and David seconded to have Gerald ask Darryl Davis to inspect the roof. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded to authorize Amy to attend the VLCT Grant Writing Workshop and to pay her registration and mileage. Motion passed.

At 7:47, John moved and David seconded to go into Executive Session for personnel issues. Motion passed.

The Executive Session ended at 8:30.

David moved and John seconded to adjourn at 8:31. Motion passed.
