In attendance: David Stevens, Chair, John Alexander, Selectmen, Greg Gallagher, Town Clerk, Dennis Desmarais, Road Foreman, Amy Robinson, Deputy Kirk Martin, Kathy Holmes, Vince and Louisa Dotoli and Gerald Saindon.

John moved and David seconded to sign the Sheriff’s Contract for the term 5/25/08 thru 5/23/09, not to exceed the budgeted amount. Motion passed.

Dennis discussed the Highway Department actions. He has talked with Pike, and they will do the Hinton Hill paving at the same rate as quoted for the Long Pond job.

Greg was asked to get written permission from our neighbor to OK us cutting down a mutual tree. Dennis presented two quotes for cutting down the tree.

The road crew has been working on washed out and sunken culverts.

They will look at what needs to be done on the Newark Road.

Dennis will hire the same street sweeper as used last year when the roads dry out more.

There were no health issues.

John moved and David seconded to approve Select Payroll and Orders #8. Greg will correct check number 9153 to reflect payment for Westmore Water Works. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded to approve the Minutes for the 3/31/08 Meeting. Motion passed.

Kathy Holmes asked about David’s discussion with Kimball. David said he had a very informative 45 minute discussion, but that he expected Kimball to come in at some time to make his own comments.

Kathy presented a letter from her requesting to be appointed to the VT State Police Advisory Board.

John moved and David seconded to appoint Kathy Holmes as Westmore’s representative to the VT State Police Advisory Board. Motion passed.

Gerald presented three bids for insulating the Municipal Building attic. He also advised that he be authorized to enlarge the tanks at the North Beach toilette(s). The Board wanted to wait for Bob Cumming’s input on those items before taking action.

Greg reported that a delivery man had called to find out if a dog which had bitten him had a rabies vaccine on record. There was none. David said he would get the dog owner’s name to Greg.

David moved and John seconded to authorize John to sign a Milfoil Grant when Amy gets it ready. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded to sign a Rapid Response Plan and to have Greg update the list. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded to adjourn at 6:48 PM. Motion passed.
