Selectboard Meeting Minutes
APPROVED
In attendance: John Alexander, Chair and Nancy Mallary, Selectmen, Greg Gallagher, Town Clerk, Anne Alexander, Randi Pickle, Paul Wasklewicz, Randy Perkins and Gerald Saindon.
John Alexander called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM.
There were no new Health issues.
There were no road issues.
Nancy moved and John seconded to approve the November 28 and December 5, 2006 Minutes as submitted. Motion passed.
Randi complained about light she requested was not at top of Fosters Grove North. John asked her to have Cindy and/or Dave Poplawski or someone else on Fosters Grove North write a letter requesting a light there. He also thought the Town should survey the lights to see what their spacing is now. He was a little concerned about "light pollution".
Nancy reported on the 12/9/06 Selectboard Forum and Health Insurance issues.
There were no Zoning issues.
Paul Wasklewicz submitted a copy of a letter sent to the Auditors requesting Grant information on the Annual Report.
A package of financial reports was passed out.
Randi Perkins submitted information on a new roadside trimming service he will be starting. His hourly rate for Westmore would be $100 per hour.
Nancy moved and John seconded to accept bids from:
Walter Deth-$150 for 16’ boat and trailer, $250 for 9.9/15hp Evenrude motor and $200 for the 4.5 Mercury motor.
Anne Alexander-$400 for the 9’X16’ barge, 3hp utility pump and the Brownies Third Lung Pump.
Gerald Saindon-$100 for two Kayaks and paddles.
The money is to go into the Milfoil program. Motion passed.
A letter from the Auditors responding to the Boards’ financial questions was read.
Nancy moved and John seconded to sign and send the $30 thousand USDA Grant for emergency generators. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to have John send Carol Davis a letter asking her to write a letter by 1/03/07 allowing the Town to continue to use Fellowship Hall for emergency situations and for permission to place an LP tank and Generator there. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to ask Lee Anderson and Louisa Dotoli to review, with the Sate of Vermont, RFPs for uses of the Cheney House. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to approve Select Orders and Payroll #25. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to go into Executive Session for Personnel issues at 7:45. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to come out of Executive Session at 8:12. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to ask Greg to show the carryover sick hours due 1/1/07 on Payroll checks and all other accumulated benefits as of 1/1/07. Motion passed.
Nancy moved and John seconded to adjourn at 8:25 PM. Motion passed.
