MINUTES

EMERGENCY SELECTBOARD MEETING

WEDNESDAY February 8, 2006

Emergency selectboard meeting called to order at 9:30AM by Chairperson John F. Alexander. Meeting called to address certain personnel issues recently brought to the attention of the selectboard

Attending: Selectperson David Stevens and John Alexander

Dennis Desmarais, Road Foreman Town of Westmore

David Stevens motioned to go into executive session at 9:33AM second by John Alexander so moved

David Stevens motioned to come out of executive session at 10:20AM second by John Alexander so moved

Selectboard will implement the following plan regarding maintenance of the town transfer center

  1. Town transfer station personnel will obtain an additional key to the gate and insure that the town foreman, or his designee, has possession of the key. The recycling key will be attached to the new truck key ring.
  2. The road department will authorize the use of the town road department loader/backhoe for transfer station maintenance. Road foreman will checkout the machine to determine if an engine heater can be installed. The backhoe will not be use unless prior authorization has been obtained from the road commissioner. The town road foreman reserves the right to use the loader/backhoe if there is a documented need for town maintenance. Town road foreman will make every attempt to deliver said loader/backhoe to the transfer station on/about Thursday February 9, 2006
  3. Massey Ferguson tractor to remain at town garage until a determination is made as to cost of chains and other considerations are discussed.
  4. Town road department will include the transfer station as part of their plowing/sanding responsibilities when plowing in the general area.
  5. Personnel issues were discussed, and pending receipt of additional information, brought to closure. Selectboard indicated openness to ideas, and or suggestions, regarding town operations

David Stevens motioned to adjourn at 10:29AM seconded by John F. Alexander so moved
