Selectboard Meeting Minutes

January 10, 2006 Approved

In attendance: John Alexander (Chairperson), and David Stevens selectboard. Citizens-Anne Alexander, Louisa Dotoli, Vince Dotoli, Tim Dunbar, Sonya Dunbar Jim Morin, Randi Pickle and Gerald Saindon.

John Alexander called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

Health Meeting- As the Health Officer was not present, the Health meeting was closed.

Road Foreman report – The board review a letter from the State asking for any road weight postings. There are none.

The Gosslin Weight limits for their trucks were reviewed. The board may want to attach some exemptions. The board reviewed a letter from Annalei Babson RE why she used certain sized culverts while upgrading Tower Lane.

The approval of the 12/12 and12/27/2005 minutes was postponed until the next meeting when Nancy would be there.

The Minutes of the Special meeting 01/04/2006 were postponed in order to make a correction.

Mr. and Mrs. Dunbar addressed the board on how to have her daughter’s tuition at LI paid by the town. They were referred to Wayne Shepard, Orleans County Supervisory Union.

At 6:20 PM, the Health Meeting was re-opened and Randi spoke of her concerns. She asked the board to consider:

1. a lease law;
2. Keeping garbage in cans with lids and
3. Replace a street light that used to be on 5A near Northern Exposure.

David moved and John seconded that the Board accept a letter of resignation as Assistant Zoning Administrator from Jim Gosnell. Motion Passed.

David moved and John seconded that the Trash contract with Norman (Jim) Morin be accepted and signed subject to the deletion of the "North Beach" clause. Motion passed.

David moved and John seconded to accept and sign the Irwin Forestry Timber Contract. Motion passed.

David moved and John seconded that John will talk to Dale Perron about adding Old Cottage Lane/Highway 30 to the Highway mileage (.56 miles). Motion passed.

After reviewing the Select Orders, David moved and John seconded to accept and authorize payment of Select Orders #1 and Payroll #1. Motion Passed.

Correspondence was reviewed.

At 8:20 PM, David moved and John seconded to go into executive session to discuss legal issues with Zoning and Planning members Louisa Dotoli and Anne Alexander. Motion passed.

At 8:58 PM David moved and John seconded to come out of Executive Session. Motion passed.

David moved, seconded by John to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 PM. Motion passed.
