Selectboard Meeting Minutes

January 24, 2006 Approved

In attendance: John Alexander (Chairperson), Nancy Mallary and David Stevens selectboard. Citizens-Anne Alexander, Louisa Dotoli, Vince Dotoli, Cindy Poplawski, Debi Rash Millie Davis, Mary Lou Cummings Dennis Desmarais and Gerald Saindon.

John Alexander called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM.

Budget issues were discussed with Dennis, Greg, Mary Lou and Millie.

Health Meeting- As the Health Officer was not present, there was no Health meeting and the budget meeting continued.

Road Foreman report –Dennis reviewed his budget line items.

Auditors (Besaw) draft financials were handed out. They will be commented on after further review.

David will talk to Roy about the Town survey.

Nancy moved and David seconded that the December 12, 2005 minutes be amended to say "Motion Passed" after the motion about the Sick Policy and then accepted. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that the December 12, 2005 minutes be amended to say the reason for Executive session was for "a legal issue". Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that the December 27, 2005 minutes be approved. Motion passed.

David moved and Nancy seconded that the January 4, 2006 minutes be approved. Motion Passed.

David moved and John seconded that the minutes of January 10, 2006 be approved. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that the Town convert all street lights to the High Pressure Sodium leased lights. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded that a light be placed where one used to be by Stony Brook Lane. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that the liquor licenses for the Willoughvale and Northern Exposure be renewed. Motion passed.

David moved and Nancy Seconded that an article be placed on town meetings agenda to vote to ask our legislators and governor to not spend any school tax money for other expenses. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that select orders and payroll orders #2 be approved and authorized. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that Nancy would review Besaw’s draft financials with the town auditors and bring a letter with any questions to the next meeting. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded that the meeting go into executive session at 9:02 PM for personnel issues. Motion passed.
Executive session ended at 9:15 PM.

Nancy moved and David seconded to contact Ethan Swift RE the 2006 Milfoil Budget. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:18 PM. Motion passed.
