Selectboard Meeting Minutes

March 3, 2008

In attendance: David Stevens and John Alexander, Selectmen, Greg Gallagher, Town Clerk, Debi Rash, Amy Robinson, Vince and Louisa Dotoli, Anne Alexander, Bob Cummings and Gerald Saindon.

 

                    John Alexander called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM.

It was reported that the Road Foreman’s operation has been rescheduled until March 28.

There were no Health issues.

David moved and John seconded to add the following agenda items brought up by Greg:

Planning and Zoning

Transfer Station addition

Ministers lot map

Legal issue

Motion passed.

Louisa presented a contract for $788 with NVDA for them to help with the Planning Grant.

John presented a survey of Minister’s lot. David said that it was a bad time to log since the market was so low.

                    They will discuss at the next meeting. Greg will record the survey.

The proposal by Darryl Davis to build an addition at the transfer station was tabled.

David moved and John seconded to approve Select Orders and Payroll #5. Motion passed.

David moved and John seconded to accept the 2/18/08 Minutes as printed. Motion passed.

Vince Dotoli reviewed the process on various issues to come before Town Meeting.

Gerald reported that there are insulation issues with the Municipal Building. Bob Cummings volunteered to help Gerald review them and come up with a plan.

John then moved and David seconded to sign the contract with NVDA. Motion passed.

John moved and David seconded to sign the excess weight permit for Carroll Concrete. Motion passed.

The NVDA transportation support and Arcadia vehicles letters which Amy had drafted were reviewed and commented on. Amy will re write them.

A Summons on behalf of Diane Parenteau was reviewed. John will take it and the file to town attorney, Bill May.

John moved and David seconded to recess the meeting until after Town Meeting

 

The meeting was reconvened March 4th at 4:25 PM with David Stevens, John Alexander and Robert Cummings, Selectboard, Greg Gallagher, Town Clerk, Louisa and Vince Dotoli and Gerald Saindon present.

Robert (Bob) Cummings, who had previously been sworn in by Greg, was seated as a new member replacing Nancy Mallary, whose term had expired and did not run again due to health issues.

John moved and Bob seconded to appoint David as Chairman. Motion passed.

John moved and Bob seconded to appoint the following Officers:

Fence Viewer------Gerald Saindon

Fence Viewer------Ellie Hinton

Pound Keeper-----Claude Desmarais

Supervisor for NEKWMD----John Badger

Alternate for NEKWMD------Larry Phipps

Motion passed.

                    John moved and Bob seconded to sign Select Orders 5A. Motion passed.

                    Bob offered to help with construction issues.

                    John will follow up with personnel issues.

                    John moved and Bob seconded to adjourn at 4:50. Motion passed.
