Selectboard Meeting Minutes
Special Selectboard Meeting Friday June 14, 2006 11AM
Corner of Lake View Road and Cottage Lane.
Agenda: Review road re-classification – Cottage Lane and Tower Lane.
Meeting called to order 11AM.
Present: Nancy Mallary, David Stevens, John Alexander.
Guest: Scott Keiser, State of Vermont Department of Transportation Engineer as consultant to Westmore board.
Reviewed Cottage Lane presently a "Class IV" road. Selectboard received a petition at their June 13, 2006 meeting requesting that Cottage Lane be upgraded to a "Class III" road. After reviewing, and receiving suggestions from Scott, it appears that Cottage Lane could be upgraded if recommended ditching was completed and certain areas received gravel etc.
After reviewing Cottage Lane board, absent Ms Mallary who recused herself due to family involvement, drove to Tower Lane. Tower lane was reviewed and the board received recommendations from Scott. Mr. Stevens has a more detailed account of the recommendations for board action at their next meeting.
The board, absent Ms Mallary, also reviewed "Perkins Lane" and Long Pond Road for future work. The board received recommendations from Scott Keiser regarding both of these roads.
At 1:00 PM, the board "recessed" the meeting until the next scheduled board meeting which will take place on Tuesday June 27, 2006.
