In attendance: John Alexander, Chair, David Stevens and Nancy Mallary, Selectmen, Greg Gallagher, Town Clerk , Debi Rash, Bruce Wheeler, Vince and Louisa Dotoli, Kate Anderson, Anne Alexander and Gerald Saindon.

Gerald mentioned that the backhoe is getting worn out traveling to the transfer station. He suggested looking into a small tractor with a bucket. David said all equipment should be looked at for their repair or replacement needs.

At the Health meeting, Greg introduced a letter from the Interim Health Commissioner appointing John as the Health Officer.

Nancy moved and David seconded for Nancy to write Debra Simpson a letter stating her suggestion on changing the minutes of the September 5^th are not necessary and that letters to the Selectboard are recorded with the minutes, but not included on the Town’s website. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded, to approve the October 3^rd minutes. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded to purchase a package of 50 "Before You Build" brochures from VLCT. Motion passed.

Nancy reported about her conversation with John Irwin, our forester, regarding our logging contract. He said there is very little left to do, but that Terry Sicard is expected to finish up when he returns from Guard duty.

Greg reported on the meeting with Gene Besaw and our Auditors. He said the meeting went very well and that Gene will call the following Monday to see how the reports are coming.

The Selectboard reviewed correspondence.

John Alexander thanked the Planning and Zoning Commissioners, particularly Louisa Dotoli, for running a professional Hearing October 13 on alleged by-law violations.

Nancy moved and David seconded for Nancy to deliver the "Stray Dog Protocol" and the Frontier Informative Meeting information to Claude Desmarais. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded to sign the Vermont Coalition of Municipalities resolution calling for the repeal of the statewide property tax with a corrected date. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded for Gerald to close the beach facilities as of November 1 and to put a sign on it to that effect. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded to go into executive session to discuss personnel issues at 8:30 PM.

Nancy moved and David seconded to come out of executive session at 8:55.

Nancy moved and David seconded for Nancy to contact VLCT regarding our vacation policy. Motion passed.

Nancy moved and David seconded to approve Select Orders and Payroll #21. Motion passed.

At 9:00 PM, Nancy moved and David seconded to adjourn. Motion passed.
